This energetic Performance blend of Organic beans from Peru have notes of lime, black tea and fudge, whilst the Vietnamese coffee is from a small cooperative with notes of chocolate, dark chocolate and caramel is artistically roasted by our Speciality roasters. It’s a coffee that is smooth and velvety and perfect for days when you need focus or to be highly productive in work or play.

70% of the Performance Blend is an Organic, Rainforest and FairTrade Arabica from Peru. With an SCA score of 83.5 this is an outstanding choice of bean.
The cherries are shade grown at altitude, meaning it has a cooler climate which enhances the flavour and provides a healthier bean. Cherries are picked and then taken to flotation tanks that day for initial sorting.
Moving to fermentation tanks, cherries remain there for 12-16 hours.
They are washed again and dried on raised beds or drying chambers before being sorted according to size, quality and taste, and prepared for export.
The Vietnamese Robusta coffee is a rare find – a Speciality Robusta.
With an SCA score of 81 the process is Golden Honey and since the Cooperative completed the Simexco Sustainability Program in 2009 they have turned their attention both the quality of the bean they grow and the environment it is grown in.
This lead to the engagement of the group with more specialised processing methods and development of honey, natural, washed and semi washed processes.
Since 2013 the group have further focussed on the cooperative structure, and synchronising their farming practises and processing to reduce costs. The relatively small area (3-4ha) under each household means relative processing costs are expensive, but by synchronising in this way the processes are better streamlined.
Fruit trees such as avocados and durians have been planted to provide a secondary income and create a more sustainable landscape. Mulching is favoured over the use of herbicides and the co-op is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. They have become Rainforest Alliance, Utz, and Fairtrade certified in recognition of this move.
A 10g serving (2 x tbl spoons) of Only Cup Performance coffee has 710mg of antioxidants (polyphenols) – this is equivalent to 125g of Blueberries or 3.5 apples.
In addition, a 10g serving of our Performance blend contains 200mg of natural slow-release caffeine. In comparison a Green Tea contains around 45mg caffeine and a 2g ceremonial Matcha up to 88mg.
